Elegant Royal Blue

I think this has to be one of my favorite groupings of Wedding outfits and colors so far.  There is something very regal about the deep blue that makes it feel like a dream wedding.  Also the bridesmaid dress does remind me of the dress Katherine Heigl wore on Grey's Anatomy, just in a different color!

Sometimes when you see a Wedding Gown, it just stays with you.  And until you try it on, it will always seem like the perfect dress.

Now for the Groom in this dream wedding, I've picked a Ralph Lauren Pinstripe Tuxedo.   Again I want a sophisticated, classic but also modern look.

And here is my top choice for Bridesmaid dress

This dress style is also a favorite.  If someone was looking for a two tone wedding party I think different shades of the same color are pretty.

On to the flowers!  I would like to give credit to the website that I have been using for all the flower arrangements.  Sharon Nagassar Designs specializes in silk flower arrangements for the whole wedding party.

And finally for the cake, I like the idea of royal blue ribbons around each layer.  The black design on this cake does make it unique, but not sure if I would have that on mine.

Well this ends my blogging for today!  Four color themes in one day is alot of work!!  If you have any colors that you would like to see put together for a wedding, send me an email.

Classic White with a Hint of Mint

So while searching the web last night, I came across this wedding dress.
I thought "What a great concept!"  A detachable skirt!!

If it were me, I would probably keep the long skirt on for most of the reception and then bust the mini dress out for the after-party!  The dress is a Tara Keely style 2210

Now that I've shared the detachable skirt dress... let me get back to the color theme of this post.
A hint of mint!

The following dress is a Prom dress... but I still think it could work as a bridesmaid dress!

And for the flowers, I've decided for this look I would like mainly white with only a little green accent (the hint of mint)

For the wedding cake, again I chose one that only has a little green accent and continues with the Cala Lilies

Last but not least, the look for the Groom... I didn't add Green here because I wanted a more sophisticated look for the guy of this wedding.

Whimsical Fun with Color

My next Wedding Theme is not for the faint hearted or traditional bride.  These colors would be great for a Spring/Early Summer Wedding and for a couple that wants to make a statement using Color!

And to complete the Wedding Theme, I have picked an example with the Pink color on the groom's tux instead of a Wedding dress with a pink sash or accent piece.
Sometimes the guy's need to stand out too!

Where's the Cake you say?

Well for a fun twist to the traditional Wedding Cake, why not make your cake stand out even more by incorporating a hobby the bride and groom both enjoy!
Me and my guy love to play golf (Our first date was playing 18 holes!)
Here's a cute example of a pink and green golf couple wedding cake, if only they were wearing Wedding attire!

Popular Purple

So I have noticed that a big trend in Weddings for the past year or so has been to pick Purple as the Wedding theme.  I love the color purple and all of the Weddings that have used this color have been beautiful, but I am starting to get a little tired of the color.  That being said, when I browse the internet looking at dresses and at flowers, my eyes are always drawn to the purple ones.  So it does seem like a catch-22.  How to stay away from purple to be unique, but how can a girl (or guy) resist purple?

Below is a Purple Wedding Theme that I have put together if I were to plan a Wedding using the color.

So what is your opinion of the Popular Purple?  If your wedding colors included Purple, share your experiences, photos, etc.!

Welcome Message

Welcome!

I have created this blog to bring together those who have had their dream wedding, those who will be getting married soon, and those who hope to someday be planning their dream wedding!

I've always enjoyed searching the internet for hot wedding trends, beautiful dresses, flowers, etc.  What a better way to share what I've found than on a Wedding Blog!
